After three flights, four airports, and 36 hours, we have finally made it to Bangkok! Neither of us were quite prepared for the 31 degree air waiting for us outside the airport. We were driven to our hotel by a Thai man waiting for us in a toyota. It was chaos driving through the eight lanes of traffic doing 120km/h. After getting settled in our hotel room, we decided to make our way to the train station to book a couple legs of our first month. We made a deal with a taxi driver outside the station to drive us around for free if we pretended to shop at a couple of textile shops. He explained how he received gas coupons for convincing us to go to the stores. We purchased a SIM card at a 7/11, then walked about an hour before coming across a stand selling some good looking noodles. Returning to the hotel after such a long day, we are ready for some much needed sleep.
